Purpose

Our aim in this level one training is to graduate capable yoga teachers, and embodied leaders. While each student will meet this at different capacities, we are committed to each student feeling more capable to lead themself & others with clarity, presence, and integrity.

What to expect

This training is for dedicated yoga students seeking depth—an experiential journey designed to rewire your nervous system, refine your voice, and give you the tools to hold a room with presence. We go deep and we make space for levity. (Yes, the rumors are true—we use improv as a mindfulness practice and leadership tool.)

Boundless is a training in embodied leadership, self-discovery, and awakening your voice and power in a way that impacts every area of your life. You’re here for both the beautiful and brutal aspects of growth. You hold reverence for holding space—mind, body, and soul—so you’re not simply here to nail the splits. That’s not what this training is about. That said, it will be physically demanding at times. It will also be mentally and emotionally rigorous—because the space you’ll one day hold for others is the space you must first be able to be held in yourself.

Boundless fosters self-responsibility, emotional intelligence, and leadership in service. It is trauma-aware, but not trigger-free. We live by the philosophy that our triggers are our temples—and with mindfulness, they become pathways to liberation. You’ll work deeply with nervous system regulation, not to chase calm, but to clearly see where you resist, run, freeze, or fawn under discomfort. You’ll have mentors—but no gurus. No saviors. No villains. Just deep self-awareness and personal responsibility.

The program is intentionally paced and well-organized. Graduates will be capable of leading the full arc of a class, culminating in a 30-minute teaching experience at the end of training. Teaching moments are woven throughout, building confidence and skill—on and eventually off the mat. We graduate teachers, not guides.

Curriculum includes: yoga philosophy, anatomy, physiology, breathwork, the energy body, creative + functional sequencing fundamentals, practical psychology, and public speaking.

Special emphasis on:
– Mindfulness and the nervous system as the foundation of leadership
– Clear, integrity-led communication
– Creativity and authentic connection
– The subtle body and the generous gift of breath
– Dharma and healing through relationship

What sets Boundless apart is its focus on nervous system regulation as the pathway to confidence and leadership. Many teachers were never trained to work with their nervous systems under pressure—while being seen and heard. We teach that confidence begins there.

This five-month program begins in the Fall and is delivered in a hybrid format. Lectures are virtual via Zoom (with replays), while deeper workshops and practicum are held in person—cultivating community, embodiment, and meaningful integration.

Style/Lineage

Boundless Teacher Training + Mindfulness-Based Leadership Program is born from over 20 years of practice & teaching by Amber Campion. It weaves together multiple yoga lineages, wisdom traditions, contemporary psychology, and martial arts into a distinct expression of Modern Yoga—one that is grounded, embodied, and alive.

Amber’s yoga lineage originates in the breath-centered tradition of Swami Kripalu. Over time, her teaching has evolved into an organically developed modality called Dynamic Release Method® (DRM). While DRM itself is not the style taught in Boundless, it deeply informs the graduate’s voice as a teacher. This unique hatha-flow practice integrates intentional breathwork, silky Qi Gong–inspired movement, and myofascial release—supporting deep nervous system repair and a return to wholeness through embodied presence.

The yoga lineages that influence Amber’s teaching—and shape the Boundless experience—include:

Kripalu (prana- and breath-led practice)

Iyengar (alignment-focused, with props as tools of empowerment)

Anusara (biomechanical precision guided by a heart-centered, Tantric philosophy)

Kula Yoga (intelligent, functional sequencing)

What truly sets Boundless apart, however, is its commitment to developing not just skilled yoga teachers, but embodied leaders. This is cultivated through real-time nervous system awareness and regulation, the development of emotional intelligence via insight and group work, and deep self-inquiry around values, identity, and behavior. The result is teachers who don’t just lead classes—but lead themselves, and others, with clarity, presence, and integrity.

Core competencies

By the end of this program, graduates will be able to…

Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics
  • Describe the basic structure and function of the sympathetic nervous system, by explaining common stress response patterns (fight, flight, freeze, fawn), and reflecting on how individual nervous system tendencies may influence behavior and yoga practice.
  • Describe the location and primary movements available at each major joint (e.g., flexion, extension, rotation, abduction, adduction, etc..)
  • Explain the fascia system by defining its basic structure and function and articulating how fascial health influences mobility, physical resilience, and mental and emotional well-being in everyday life
  • Apply basic anatomical principles to support safe alignment and recognize common contraindications in foundational yoga postures
  • Describe the five primary movements of the spine—flexion, extension, lateral flexion, rotation, and axial extension— by accurately defining each and explaining how to efficiently incorporate these movements into class sequencing to support spinal health, balanced mobility, and functional movement
Business Skills
  • Describe principles of heart-centered business practices by explaining how integrity, authenticity, service, clear boundaries, and sustainability support ethical decision-making and long-term professional growth within yoga teaching
Yoga History & Theory
  • Explain the eight limbs of yoga and their relevance to modern practice by accurately listing each limb in both english and sanskrit, clearly describing the basic concept of each, and demonstrating the ability to integrate one or more limbs—beyond asana—into simple dharma talks, class themes, cueing, and sequencing to create a more holistic yoga experience
  • Describe the five yamas and five niyamas by listing their names in sanskrit and english, defining their core qualities, and identifying how these ethical principles are integrated into an understanding of yoga practice and lifestyle.
  • Describe foundational concepts of the subtle body by accurately defining chakras, nadis, koshas, vayus, and prana, and explaining their basic roles within yoga practice using clear, accessible language
  • Discuss the six major branches of yoga—hatha, raja, tantra, jnana, bhakti, and karma— by explaining their core principles and articulating how each relates to personal practice and everyday life, and demonstrate embodied understanding through applied experiences such as service (seva) as an expression of karma yoga
  • Discuss the benefits and limitations of a non-systematized yoga practice by explaining the value of adaptability, inquiry, and inclusivity versus the potential risk of a rigidly following one system or one guru
Practice Skills
  • Maintain embodied awareness of breath, internal sensation, and pacing during physical practice, and demonstrate the capacity to balance appropriate effort with ease within a single posture, reflecting steadiness, responsiveness, and self-regulation.
  • Practice the foundational elements of pranayama—including dirgha pranayama, kapalabhati, nadi shodhana, and introductory antara and bhaya kumbhaka— by demonstrating safe technique, appropriate pacing, and clear instruction, and engage in a variety of meditation, mudra, and mantra practices with embodied understanding and respect for individual capacity and contraindications
  • Practice foundational myofascial release techniques using props and static postures, demonstrating appropriate pressure, positioning, and self-regulation
  • Practice embodied public speaking techniques by demonstrating awareness of posture, breath, presence, and voice quality and describe how they influence communication before words are spoken
Teaching Skills
  • Teach foundational asana and pranayama practices by using clear verbal cues, appropriate pacing, and effective demonstration to support student understanding, safety, and accessibility
  • Design and lead a complete yoga class by creating a coherent beginning, middle, and closing that includes an intentional warm-up, a progressive peak sequence, and an integrated closing that supports regulation, reflection, and completion
  • Create and deliver a concise, meaningful dharma talk drawn from personal life experience that aligns with yogic principles and clearly supports the stated intention of the class
Lifestyle & Ethics
  • Describe the four primary fear responses—fight, flight, freeze, and fawn— by accurately defining each in clear, accessible language, identifying how one or more may appear in personal behavior, distinguishing between automatic reaction and intentional response through nervous system awareness, and describing at least one practical regulation tool (e.g., breath, pause, grounding) that supports a shift from reaction to response
  • Explain rituals that support nervous system regulation by describing practices such as mauna, morning pages, and gratitude, and articulating their impact on awareness, emotional balance, and daily life
  • Describe foundational “mind power” techniques taught in the program by explaining how simple, neuroscience-informed practices support confidence and resiliency through intentional changes in state

AYC allows each school to state and evaluate the competencies each student acquires. Students rate how well the program delivered them.

Evaluation methods

Program evaluations
  • Oral Exam
  • Observation
  • Solo Project Or Presentation
  • Written Submission
  • Written Exam
  • Direct Observation

As of 2026, the Boundless program will transition to a hybrid learning model. All existing evaluation standards will remain in place. In addition, students will complete brief oral and written assessments after each module to support retention and integration of course material. A comprehensive final exam will be administered at the conclusion of the training. Assessment requirements include one written case study, a 30-minute final in-person teaching practicum, and a 10-minute recorded virtual class. The virtual class serves both as a technology assignment and as an assessment of the student’s ability to weave dharma into movement-based teaching. Students will also complete a combination of individual and group assignments, including a solo SEVA project and a collaborative “tag team” teaching experience, which functions as the program’s culminating leadership project. Supporting documents from the previous training year are attached and will be updated for the current cohort.
