Purpose

This program assists practitioners and teachers to Go Deeper with more wholly integrating the full spectrum of yoga into your daily life, thus enhancing one’s ability to teach postures, breathwork, meditation, and philosophy in a more natural, organic way.

What to expect

This program offers a path to deepen and evolve your teaching and personal spiritual growth. Whether having taught yoga for a number of years or a having recently graduated from a yoga training, one may realize that they are still in the early stages of inculcating the vast amount of new information and experiences that were presented in their first training experience. Here is where this “Go Deeper” training comes in. It accelerates that assimilation in width, breadth and depth, enhancing both the teachers’ own yoga knowledge and personal practice as well as their ability to guide others. This program is structured in a way that one’s practice continues to spiritualize every aspect of their life leading to the realization of the goals of yoga: such as more compassion, deeper intuition, and liberation.

Come together as One Student, One Teacher, and One Community. Unite and deepen in spiritual community, satsang amongst great yogis with the courage to take the practices of yoga to another level. This is a very special opportunity to connect more deeply with your intuition, deepen the multi-faceted aspects of your spiritual lifestyle, and refine your abilities to listen, communicate, share, teach, envision and more deeply experience touch, taste, and smell. Style/Lineage

World Peace Yoga is not anything new or different. It is simply yoga rooted in teachings shared throughout Asia, primarily India and Africa/Ancient Egypt/Kemet--with the added enthusiasm of creating world peace by connecting with intuition, empathy, and compassion. We focus on the ancient yogic tradition of ahimsa, a concept from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras that is a component of Raja yoga. Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word that literally means “non-harming” and implies practicing kindness and compassion to one’s self, to others, to all living beings, and to the earth.

We practice satsang, or gathering together in spiritual community. We practice karma yoga in the form of seva, or being of service to others. We practice asanas, which are the postures that stretch and strengthen the body and mind. We practice pranayama, the ever-important breathing exercises. We practice basking in the delight of bhakti yoga, remaining devoted to spiritual practice and living intentionally. And, we practice meditation so that we may connect with a state of equanimity and deepen our intuition. With these holistic and therapeutic practices comes a more healthy life with less stress, anxiety, and tension.

Core competencies

By the end of this program, graduates will be able to…

Lifestyle & Ethics
  • Explain the relationship between food choices and spiritual practice describing how plant-sourced living supports the principles of ahimsa (non-harming) and inner peace
  • Identify and define five dimensions of conscious food choice — health, environment, compassion, community, and food justice — and describe how each connects to yogic values.
  • Apply yogic principles of balance and sustainability to design and maintain a personal daily practice over a defined period of time adjusting based on energy, schedule, and self-observation.
  • Create delicious and colorful meals using all plant-sourced ingredients
Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics
  • Explain the functional relationship between skeletal alignment, muscular engagement, and respiratory mechanics describing how each system supports or limits the other in yoga practice.
  • Explain how functional movement principles — including joint mechanics, muscular balance, and movement efficiency — inform safe yoga practice and support proactive injury prevention
Practice Skills
  • Design and execute a personal yoga posture sequence of a duration and focus that integrates into your daily routine practicing it consistently over a defined period and document personal observations
  • Establish a daily meditation or mindful pause practice — selecting a form, duration, and anchor point suited to your schedule — and maintain it consistently over a defined period, documenting personal observations
  • Apply a minimum of three breathwork techniques in a personal daily practice over a defined period — selecting techniques related to different stress states — and document their observable effects on nervous system regulation and subjective experience
  • Explore asana in relationship to yoga basics, yin-restorative, and vinyasa yoga
  • Practice mindful eating as a structured daily exercise over a defined period — applying sensory awareness, breath, and gratitude reflection before and during meals — and document personal observations about your relationship with food
  • Apply mindfulness practices to cultivate real-time awareness of habitual thought patterns, speech, and actions — using structured self-observation exercises over a defined period to document patterns, reactions, and moments of conscious choice
  • Practice various therapeutic and healing modalities of yoga to enhance your well-being and holistic approach to your yoga on and off the mat
Teaching Skills
  • Apply chakra-based sequencing principles to design and practice a complete yoga sequence for a single chakra selecting postures, transitions, breathwork, and closing practices that address the physical region, energetic quality, and psychological theme of that center.
  • Create a yoga nidra script designed for deep rest and relaxation
  • Design and teach an original posture-based yoga class built around an intrinsic theme developing the theme from the sequence's inherent physical and energetic qualities, weaving it through opening intention, posture cueing, transitions, and closing reflection, and evaluating its coherence and impact through self-reflection and student response
  • Teach yoga postures in your own voice with intentional language use and cues
  • Lead breathwork utilizing different techniques and giving detailed cues
  • Teach vinyasa yoga in an accessible way, offering props, modifications, and options.
  • Teach yin-restorative yoga in an accessible way, offering props, modifications, and options along with cues to allow for a calm mind when in stillness
  • Compose an original guided meditation script that integrates a specific yogic or contemplative theme — incorporating breath awareness, intentional imagery, appropriate silence, and a structured arc from opening to integration — and facilitate it with a live group, reflecting on the experience as both creator and guide.
  • Deliver a yoga class or sequence segment using accessible, embodied language — applying a range of cue types including anatomical, sensory, breath, and action cues — and adapt phrasing in real time based on student response and comprehension
Yoga History & Theory
  • Discuss yoga philosophy as it relates to liberation and decolonizing yoga
  • Apply the eight limbs of yoga in practical ways that make an impact on your day to day life
  • Explain the central philosophical framework of the yoga sutras — including the nature of the mind (chitta) and the progressive path toward liberation (kaivalya) — in your own words and in relation to contemporary practice
  • Define intuition, empathy, and compassion as distinct but interconnected capacities identifying their roots in yogic philosophy and naming the practices through which each is cultivated
  • Apply your knowledge of yoga philosophy to support the decolonization of your yoga practice and life
  • Identify and define the primary components of the subtle body in yogic philosophy — including the five koshas, the major nadis, the primary vayus, and the chakra system — and name the practices traditionally used to cultivate awareness of each
