- Discuss the history and philosophy of Kundalini Yoga, including its Four Paths, Eight Limbs, and key practices like Sadhana, with a comprehensive understanding.
- Recognize one’s own identity, voice and sovereignty as a practitioner and emerging teacher; articulate one’s “why” and intention for teaching.
- Describe the origins, history and key philosophical frameworks of Kundalini Yoga (including Kriya, Laya, and Naad yoga) as taught in this program.
- Articulate how subtle-body anatomy (chakras, nadis, energetic systems) interfaces with western anatomy, Ayurvedic pillars, and trauma-informed practice.
- Explain one's ethical considerations in teaching yoga: trauma-informed language, dismantling oppressive structures, promoting inclusivity, accessibility and equity in yoga spaces.
- Commit to a sustained daily practice (meditation, breathwork, kriya) and reflect on personal growth, patterns of healing/unlearning and energetic change
- Integrate trauma-aware language, inclusive cues and ethical awareness into one’s own movement and meditation practice.
- Create well-designed 60-90min kundalini yoga classes that clearly embrace yoga's roots, and maintain trauma awareness.
- Apply trauma-informed teaching methodologies via safe language, accessible modifications (e.g., chair Kundalini), inclusive practices—and adapting sessions to varying student needs.
- Use the voice (chant, mantra, cueing) and appropriate instrumentation/sound to support sound healing, energetic activation and class flow.
