Purpose

Balance the functions of mind, ego, and intellect. This program delivers an understanding of the "Inner Instrument" (Antahkarana), Chakra system, and Yoga Nidra for nervous system restoration, transforming Samadhi from a distant goal into an accessible daily flow state.

What to expect

Expect a combination interactive discussions, in person lectures, community building events, as well as a livestream component and take-home assignments.

Style/Lineage

YogaSix is a modern Vinyasa style rooted in the Raja Yoga tradition and Post-Classical philosophy. This lineage integrates Tantric principles and Shakti energy theory to deliver a practice focused on emotional regulation and ethical clarity.

Core competencies

By the end of this program, graduates will be able to…

Yoga History & Theory
  • Identify and describe the chakra system by naming the seven major energy centers and explaining how each relates to physical, emotional, and spiritual states of being in a clear, respectful, and non-dogmatic manner
  • Describe the antahkarana (the inner instrument) by explaining the distinct functions of manas (mind), ahamkara (ego), and buddhi (intellect), and relating their roles to the experience and practice of meditation
Practice Skills
  • Practice pratyahara (sense withdrawal) demonstrating the ability to remain focused on an internal anchor while ignoring external auditory or sensory distractions.
  • Discuss samadhi (bliss/integration) by describing the concept not as a distant or permanent goal, but as accessible moments of pure presence, connection, and flow that can arise naturally within meditation, movement, service, and everyday life
  • Apply yoga nidra (the yoga of sleep) by utilizing structured, guided relaxation techniques to support entry into the hypnagogic state between waking and sleeping, facilitating deep rest, nervous-system regulation, and restoration
  • Practice dharana (concentration) by demonstrating the ability to maintain single-pointed focus on a chosen object (such as a candle flame, mantra, or breath) for a defined period, recognizing distraction and intentionally returning attention without judgment
Lifestyle & Ethics
  • Develop a personalized meditation ritual designing a 20-minute daily meditation sequence that includes seat preparation, breath stabilization, and a chosen focal point.
