Style/Lineage

Our 200 hour yoga teacher training program is based on our belief that yoga is for every body.  We believe teachers should meet students where they are, encourage them to explore the practice and be ready to teach students of varying abilities.

This program is vinyasa based, and trainees will have a comprehensive understanding of all areas of the practice, including various aspects of the physical body, the mind-body connection, yoga humanities and professional development.

Additional Information
Why this yoga teacher training program?

This is a program of deep inquiry – as we explore the teachings of yoga, you’ll be encouraged to tap into the hidden gems within you and find pathways to bring them forward.  Perhaps this is in teaching yoga, but it will show up in other aspects of your life.  Whether you’re interested in teaching yoga, looking for more depth in your yoga practice or seeking greater self-study, this program delivers.

As we look to make the practice of yoga more accessible for ALL, our training program needs to be “real”.   It’s more than learning proper alignment of key postures, reciting Sanskrit or teaching a set sequence.  We want to empower our trainees to build upon their passion for yoga and develop their voice as a teacher to support them bringing their gifts forward.  We take highly our responsibility to give trainees the tools and skills they need to teach a wide variety of bodies, safely and confidently.   We encourage trainees to bring their curiosity and creativity forward, knowing we all have unique gifts to share and be celebrated.

Core competencies

  • Evaluate a teaching environment for its effectiveness in welcoming students of all bodies, backgrounds, and experience levels before class begins.
  • Apply self-reflection, peer input, and feedback witth personal strengths and growth areas into designing and teaching a 60 minute yoga class.
Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics
  • Assess a student's skeletal alignment in a given posture and determine which variations or props best support their unique anatomy.
  • Evaluate whether a student's muscular engagement pattern in a posture supports safe alignment and efficient movement.
  • Evaluate how different class formats, breath patterns, and pacing strategies affect the student's physiological state during and after practice.
  • Assess a student's pose execution across multiple clinic categories and provide specific, anatomy-grounded feedback for each.
