Purpose

Advanced 300-Hour trainingis much like an M.A: You must have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification in order to qualify; you will go deeper into the philosophy and practice of Kundalini yoga; you will apprentice with your lead teachers and refine your teaching skills; you will grow in your understanding, discipline and embodiment of Kundalini yoga in order to consistently heal, uplift and inspire.

What to expect

The content and scope of the trainings are the same. You will receive comprehensive printed manuals for both trainings. You will be expected to complete the same requirements for certification.

The main difference lies in the intensity and geographical accessibility of the teachings. While in-person training crystallizes around intensive 25-hour weekends about once a month over seven months, the Virtual training is spread over 12 months, with one 6-hour intensive one Sunday a month and two-hour long weekly workshops every Thursday--this is still plenty intensive enough to experience the exalting and transformative effects of Kundalini Yoga in every aspect of your life!

While we expect you to be present in Livestream courses and discussions, Virtual Training gives you access to recorded classes and workshops when needed.

Style/Lineage

There is a boldness, a fierceness, an enduring beauty in Kundalini Yoga. We are committed to it, and at the same time we are re-aligning with the original intention of the ethics of yoga in education, community, and consciousness. Our teachings reflect clarity, kindness, and transparency. Our training includes a well-rounded education in the history, philosophy, science, and practice of all Yoga as well as of the specific lineage of Kundalini Yoga. Yoga philosophy tells us that there are 5 layers/sheaths of the Self, known as the Koshas. Only the densest is made of matter as we know it - the Physical Body. The other four are energy states invisible to the physical eye, though we can easily sense their presence inside us when we pay close attention - Energy, E-motions, Ego/Intellect, & Soul. We have built this training to take you through all the physical body systems (circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, limbic, etc…) through the subtle bodies. Then, by the 7th module, we focus on how you will take this work out into the world - the Evolution of Yoga and Embodying Your Truth! And of course, at Delta Groove Yoga our signature SOULful GROOVE is always accompanied by music and fun. We have a unique rhythm and structure for the Kundalini kriyas, and we incorporate the growing knowledge of modern neuroscience and philosophy into all of our teaching. It's how we Groove! We wield this practice of Kundalini Yoga against the sufferings of the world. We really hope that you will join us!
