The Experience

This is an innovative approach to yoga teacher training—one that balances structure with creativity, and learning with embodiment.

You’ll leave not only with the tools to teach, but with the confidence to teach in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and fully your own.

Style/Lineage

The Kineesi 200-Hour Foundational Yoga Teacher Training is rooted in a lineage that prioritizes clarity, structure, and a deep respect for the traditional foundations of yoga. While the broader Kineesi method integrates a range of influences, this program is intentionally designed to focus on the essential building blocks of practice.

Drawing from a vinyasa-based lineage established through foundational training with Cloud Nine Yoga, this program emphasizes the core pillars of yoga: asana, pranayama, meditation, and philosophy. Elements of prenatal and restorative yoga are also woven in to support a well-rounded and accessible understanding of the practice.

Influences from alignment-based and functional movement methodologies, as well as continued study in intelligent sequencing, inform how the material is taught. Students are guided to understand not only what to teach, but why—developing awareness of structure, safety, and adaptability within the body.

While creativity and fluidity are important aspects of the broader Kineesi approach, in this foundational training they are introduced through the lens of structure. With roots also informed by a background in dance, students are encouraged to explore movement with both precision and awareness, while staying grounded in clear and intentional frameworks.

At its core, this program is built on the belief that a strong foundation creates freedom. By establishing a clear, structured understanding of postures, breath, and philosophy, students gain the tools needed to grow confidently as practitioners and teachers. From this place of stability, they are better equipped to evolve their voice, explore creativity, and expand into more advanced or specialized practices over time.
