Be Yoga Fresh
Student of yoga since 2002. Learning, teaching and evolving since 2006 with an authentic traditional practice. Amy is a Yoga Therapist, E-RYT500, RYS-200 who will guide You. Open. to Greater. Awareness. That's Yoga!
My first teacher was/is Bradley Page, who guided me past the physical into the subtle body. He introduced me to the teachings of BKS Iyengar. From there, I entered a 200-hour Training program to learn more about me and this thing called the Chakra system. I had zero intention on becoming a teacher! My 200 hour was under the direction of Susan Hamadock at Silver Lotus Training Institute in the Fall of 2005. The program combined elements of Body-Mind Psychology with Hatha Yoga, and encouraged integration of body/mind/spirit with the deep understanding / study of the Self. My 500-hour training was completed in 2006 when YA 500 hr level was independent study. Silver Lotus was my home school, however we could pull from other programs, so I completed several other trainings/workshops (at Kripalu) with Tias Little, Anodea Judith, and George Russell. My 200-hr and 500-hr certifications are titled Svadhyaya Yoga. I am registered with Yoga Alliance as E-RYT 500 level, and a Registered Yoga School in 2013. Since then, I completed Yin Yoga with Biff Mithoefer, Y12SR (Nikki Myers) and a Vishoka Meditation course with the Himalayan Institute. In 2020, I completed training to become a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. I am extremely grateful for all the teachers who have come before me. So, I credit many for my proficiency of Yoga. First and foremost, the masters, along with Susan, Brad and the many other teachers who have been students of the master's and have kept their lineage alive. I still consider myself a student as I study the scaredness of the yogic path... daily I am inspired to awaken to my highest potential.
