I am a Kripalu Yoga teacher. My focus is to assist my clients to get in touch with their bodies, respect their limitations and consciously explore the integrative edge with each posture.
I began practicing yoga in 1981. In 1985, I became a resident of Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and stayed for 6 years. I returned to Colorado in 1991 and began teaching in various studios, community colleges and wellness centers. Over the next several years I had a good following of students and opened my own yoga studio called the Yoga Connection in Littleton Colorado. Over the next several years the studio grew and we had 8 teachers with different focuses and had a good flow of students.
I returned to Kripalu during that time to get my professional level certification and joined the Yoga Alliance.
In 2005, I sold the yoga studio and spent the next 3 years in a Vedic monastery in Virginia. In 2008, I left the monastery and began teaching yoga in health clubs and physical therapy businesses. In 2010, I moved to South Carolina and now teach yoga at our local library. I am looking to expand my teaching over the coming years.
I enhanced my work by studying Holistic Health and other modalities to create a well balanced approach to support my clients in creating physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
During all of this I maintained a daily practice of Yoga and Meditation for 45+ years. I blend my experiences at Kripalu, the Vedic monastery and my experiences of my own practice into a powerful experience of reconnecting with your body and soul with compassion and awareness.
