Lineage-rooted yoga therapist devoted to individualized practice, inner steadiness, and compassionate transformation.
Dara Susini, E-RYT 500, YACEP, Yoga Therapist, Reiki Level II
Dara Susini is a devoted yoga therapist and educator whose work is rooted in lineage, listening, and lived experience. With over 18 years of dedicated study and teaching, she approaches yoga as a sacred and adaptive practice—one that must meet each individual exactly where they are.
As co-founder and curriculum architect of Sacred Roots Yoga School, Dara developed a comprehensive training program grounded in classical yoga philosophy and therapeutic application. Deeply influenced by the Krishnamacharya tradition and Viniyoga methodology, she honors the principle that yoga is relational, breath-centered, and skillfully adapted to support the whole person.
Dara believes yoga is ultimately a practice of the mind, with the body serving as the doorway. Her work integrates asana, pranayama, mantra, bhavana (meditative visualization), yoga nidra, and subtle Ayurvedic lifestyle guidance to cultivate clarity, steadiness, and inner resilience.
She is also a Reiki Level II practitioner and incorporates sound and energetic awareness into sessions designed to regulate the nervous system and support healing.
Dara openly affirms that yoga is for every body. As someone who does not fit the stereotypical image of a yoga teacher, she embodies the truth that wisdom, depth, and transformation are not dependent on body type. Her teaching invites inclusivity, dignity, and compassionate self-relationship for all students.
Dara views yoga not as performance, but as remembrance—a steady return to clarity, compassion, and inner steadiness.
