Krishna Das is an American Grammy-nominated musician and teacher known for bringing Indian devotional chanting, or kirtan, to a global audience, particularly in the West. Born Jeffrey Kagel in the 1960s, he found spiritual guidance in India under the guru Neem Karoli Baba (Maharajji) after struggling with drug abuse and depression. His journey led him to become a celebrated chant master, releasing numerous acclaimed albums, and performing and leading workshops worldwide to share the practices of Bhakti Yoga.
