Laurel Brock is a Los Angeles-based yoga teacher and movement coach specializing in Structural Vinyasa, biomechanics, and developmental movement. Her teaching emphasizes stability, body awareness, and empowering students with the knowledge and confidence to move with greater ease

With over 20 years of personal yoga practice, Laurel has explored a wide range of traditions, from Ashtanga to Restorative. Her own experiences with injury and recovery eventually led her to Structural Vinyasa, a biomechanical approach to yoga that transformed her understanding of posture, breath, and movement.

Laurel completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Rising Lotus Yoga, where she continues to study with Structural Vinyasa founder Claire Hartley. Her continuing education includes specialized training in core and hip mechanics, NeuroKinetic Therapy, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga, and trauma-sensitive yoga.

Her teaching focuses on breath, developmental movement, and building the stability that supports greater freedom and ease of movement. She combines clear, specific instruction with an individualized approach, helping students understand not just how to perform a movement, but why they're doing it and how small adjustments can make a meaningful difference. She believes that greater body awareness gives students the tools to recognize and change patterns that no longer serve them.

In addition to teaching group classes, Laurel works privately with clients on individualized movement practices and volunteers as a yoga teacher in community and correctional settings. Whether working one-on-one or with a group, she strives to meet students where they are, encourage curiosity, and provide practical tools they can carry into their everyday lives.
