Bio

Lauren is currently completing her 200 hr YTT backed by 20 years of personal practice on and off the mat studying yoga philosophy, meditation, and eastern religions. This led to a life that was inadvertently dedicated in the practice of the yamas + niyamas guided by satya + swadyaya.

"My journey began at a young age with an open mind and natural propensity for justice, honesty, integrity and seeking truth. Fueled by intuition and a thirst for knowledge, my path to self discovery and study of the esoteric naturally led me to yoga practice as a young adult. Until now, I had not felt ready or compelled to teach.

I founded ilāSTRATE™ yoga mat design co. 5 years ago to share my art with the world in an innovative way. My work and study of the impact of art on psychology and physiology laid the groundwork for a brand centered around the idea that art can transfer energy and information, like a light-code. Art has a more profound impact on the ephemeral body than we give it credence. Creating yoga products imbued with positive energy + message is my way of giving back to our yoga community, and to cultivate harmony on and off the mat."
