Laurie has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2004. She owns Sharing Yoga in Concord, NH, which she founded with her husband, David Breen, in 2007. Her yoga journey began with a convenient class at the gym and has blossomed into a lifelong commitment to learning and exploring yoga's many facets.

A dedicated student herself, Laurie's practice has been enriched by extensive trainings and the profound wisdom of her many teachers. She holds a special connection and deep gratitude to her Guru, Manorama, who lovingly gave her the spiritual name Bhavani.

Laurie is a licensed clinical social worker who worked in hospice for 17 years. That experience, along with her own journey with cancer, profoundly shaped her perspective. Witnessing the fragility and beauty of life instilled in her a deep appreciation for the present moment—a quality she weaves into all her teachings.

Laurie is the Lead Trainer for the Sharing Yoga Teacher Trainings and also offers a variety of classes, workshops, and private yoga and meditation sessions encompassing diverse styles including flow, vinyasa, gentle, restorative, yin, yoga4cancer, and chair yoga.

Known for her warm and friendly personality, Laurie creates a welcoming atmosphere where students of all levels feel encouraged to explore. In her classes, you can expect a mindful focus on breath, an invitation to be fully present, a touch of joy, and curiosity-driven exploration. For Laurie, yoga is a way of life—she practices it "off the mat" daily and hopes to inspire her students to do the same.
