In September 2001 Maya and Vasili opened the Iyengar Yoga Center in Zurich Switzerland and have dedicated the last 25 year to teaching their students yoga.
Maya Vlachos is an Iyengar Yoga teacher and the founder of the Iyengar Yoga Center in Zurich (since 2001). Her teaching blends precise alignment with breath and fascia-informed methods (MELT, Yoga Tune Up) to support safety, recovery, and long-term wellbeing. Trained at RIMYI in Pune and mentored by Vasili Vlachos, Maya leads classes and workshops across levels with a clear focus: healthy movement patterns and sustainable practice for every student.
