Shannah has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 27 years. Her journey began with Iyengar Yoga under the guidance of the esteemed Patricia Walden, where she immediately felt aligned with her life’s purpose and calling.
She is a certified yoga teacher through both Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Eyes of the World Yoga Center in Providence, RI. A dedicated lifelong learner, Shannah continues to study yoga through workshops, teacher trainings, and advanced classes. Over the years, she has been honored to study with a wide range of respected teachers including Tom Gillette, Rodney Yee, Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Erich Schiffmann, Richard Freeman, David Swenson, Kathryn Budig, Barbara Benaugh, Rolf Gates, Schuyler Grant, Theresa Murphy, Paul Grilley, and Annie Carpenter.
Shannah’s teaching style is eclectic and ever-evolving, influenced by multiple traditions. Her yoga classes are known for being challenging yet accessible, mindful, precise, and empowering—always grounded in contemplative awareness and passionate energy.
