Stephanie Adams Ruff has devoted more than 30 years to the practice, study, and teaching of yoga. Her life has been transformed by the power of yoga. She is inspired to share how a regular practice can bring peace, authenticity, connection, and joy into anyone's life.

Stephanie is a yoga teacher and movement educator. Sharing the awareness, acceptance, & transformation yoga brings is what inspires her to teach. She has seen in others—and experienced herself—that regular practice cultivates peace, authenticity, connection, & joy. She serves & leads the Flow community as both a teacher & teacher trainer.

With more than 30 years of practice, Stephanie’s lineage began with Janet Brugge in 1994, whose teachers were Ganga White & Tracey Rich of the White Lotus Foundation. She went on to study with YogaFit, Baron Baptiste, & in 2006 completed her 500-hour RYT in Mysore with Jayakumar Swamysree, professor of yoga and meditation at the University of Mysore. On her third trip to India, she met her current teacher Swami Omkarananda of Rishikesh, whose lineage includes Dayananda Saraswati, Swami Veda Bharati, Tibetan master Lung Chu, Yogananda Swamiji, Kalyan Babaji, and Sri Anandamayi Ma.

Swamiji gifted Stephanie the Sanskrit honorary name Pushti in 2017.

Steph opened a studio in 2003 in Hood River, Oregon. In 2011, she created Jaya Yoga RYS, after serving as Education Director for YogaFit for 8 years. Since 2000, she has trained more than 12,000 teachers across the U.S. and Canada, leading trainings in 25 states, 3 provinces, and internationally in Mexico, Italy, Bali, Portugal, Costa Rica, and India. She loves learning and teaching and has written thousands of pages of yoga training content, appeared in training DVDs, and on Seattle’s Q13 Morning News as a yoga resource.

ACE Personal Trainer since 1998, Stephanie also holds credentials as an ACE Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, MBA Fitness and Nutrition Consultant, & CETI Cancer Exercise Specialist. She has presented at ACSM, NIRSA, NW YogaFest, IDEA, & more, & authored a Cancer and Yoga book through CETI.

Over the past 10 years, she developed a comprehensive training program that offers an accessible & inclusive approach to teaching yoga rooted in both tradition and biomechanics.
