Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh (1926–2022) was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, writer, peace activist, and humanitarian, known worldwide as a highly influential figure on mindfulness and peace. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967, founded Plum Village in France in 1982, and published more than 100 works.
