What to expect
• Breathing anatomy and stress: Explore the diaphragm, rib cage, intercostals, accessory breathing muscles, and the relationship between breath and the autonomic nervous system.
• Breath awareness and guided practice: Experience comfortable, slower breathing, extended exhales, purposeful sighing, and alternate nostril breathing.
• Movement and self-myofascial release: Use gentle movement and a soft inflatable ball to explore the tissues involved in breathing.
• Teaching applications: Discuss accessible cues, adaptations, student choice, and ways to incorporate these practices into yoga classes.
• Integration and questions: Close with rest and discussion of how to apply what you’ve learned.

Held via Zoom with replay access for 30 days. Includes a handout. To receive 2 CE hours, complete the full workshop live or via replay and take a quiz. Props: yoga mat, Coregeous Ball or similar soft inflatable ball, and blanket. Bolster optional. We will provide the Zoom link before the workshop.
