NOLA Yoga

20+ years of alignment-based Yoga (Anusara/Kripalu), Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and the Trauma-Informed somatics of Compassionate Inquiry®. An international educator/trainer, Cat holds a relational container in which to safely explore the body-mind-heart terrain.

An international yoga educator, I lead yoga teacher trainings, teach Relational Anatomy workshops, and facilitate courses in Compassionate Communication (NVC). Since 2002, I have been an ERYT-500 and YACEP registered teacher with a yoga school (NOLA YOGA, RYS) with The Yoga Alliance. Practicing yoga for over 40 years and teaching since 2002, among colleagues Elena Brower, Amy Ippoliti, Nikki Costello, Desiree Rumbaugh, John Friend, Douglas Brooks, Paul Mueller-Ortega, Amy Matthews, and Leslie Kaminoff, I have contributed to the conversation of embodied anatomy at The Breathing Project, the southern Indian philosophy of Rajanaka Yoga, and the Neelakanta meditation practice of Blue Throat Yoga. I lead Polyvagal Theory (PVT) practices to a global spinal cord injury population in addition to being a psychedelics-assisted therapy integration specialist. I integrate KAT (Ketamine Assisted Therapy) at the Nushama Wellness Center as a form of co-regulation of nervous systems mixed with trauma-informed somatic practices. Under the umbrella of Anusara School of Hatha Yoga, I mediate conflict as the resilience team leader and as a subject matter specialist in compassionate communication. Besides guiding yoga trainings both on and off the mat, I am a certified Compassionate Inquiry® Practitioner working with clients as a Trauma-informed Somatic Coach, under the mentorship of Dr. Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam Kaur.
