My work is informed by an integrative lineage that weaves together somatic inquiry, mindfulness, yoga, hypnotherapy, and transformational coaching. Influential teachers include Michael Lee, Meg McCracken, Kevin Courtney, and Uma Ashleigh Sergeant.
Jennifer Degen helps people create lasting change by working with the body's innate capacity for healing, regulation, and transformation. Drawing from neuroscience, attachment theory, somatic psychology, therapeutic yoga, and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), she guides clients into deeply relaxed states where new patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving can emerge naturally.
For over three decades, Jennifer has worked in the fields of psychology, education, and mind-body wellness. Her approach is grounded in the understanding that sustainable change occurs when both the mind and nervous system feel safe enough to let go of old protective patterns. Through somatic coaching, mindfulness practices, RTT, and nervous system regulation techniques, she helps individuals move beyond anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, and stress toward greater resilience, confidence, and well-being.
Jennifer has completed more than 500 hours of therapeutic yoga training through Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy and Ālaya Yoga School with Uma Sargeant, along with a three-year professional training in trauma, attachment, and embodied psychology through The Wellspring Institute. Her work integrates evidence-based neuroscience with body-centered awareness practices, creating a practical and compassionate pathway for personal transformation.
She is the founder of Mind Body Awareness and The Resilient Practitioner where she offers coaching, workshops, and programs designed to help people reconnect with their inner resources and create meaningful, lasting change.
