Bio

Laura Sumner, Founder + Guide, RYT500

Laura Sumner is the founder of Camino Yoga Retreats, a boutique travel company offering guided walking and yoga experiences along Spain and Portugal’s Camino de Santiago routes. After a successful executive career and a personal shift toward a more intentional way of living, Laura now leads transformative journeys rooted in movement, nature, and meaningful change.

A seasoned pilgrim who has walked more than 3,400 kilometers across Spain and Portugal, including the Francés, Portugués, Primitivo, Norte, and Finisterre & Muxía Ways, Laura creates experiences that are both supportive and challenging, inviting people to step outside their routines and reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.

As her work continues to evolve, Laura is expanding beyond the Camino to offer thoughtfully curated international retreats, including Tanzania. These journeys carry the same intention: to create space for freedom, perspective, and a renewed way of moving through the world.

Her teaching is grounded in simplicity and presence, encouraging participants to let go of what no longer serves them and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

When not guiding retreats or serving as Co-Coordinator for the Boston Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino, you’ll find her hiking coastal trails, practicing Spanish, or reading by the ocean.
