Marie‑Aude Preau is a yoga educator, wellness coach, and founder of Higher Altitude Yoga, where she helps active women 50+ stay strong, steady, and confident through mindful, alignment‑based yoga. With more than 29 years of practice and teaching, her work blends traditional yogic lineage, therapeutic movement, and spiritual depth.
Originally trained in New York City, Marie-Aude completed a 200‑hour Vinyasa Flow certification at Sonic Yoga under Lauren Hanna, Johanna Aldrich, and Jeffrey Duval, followed by a 220‑hour Kundalini Yoga certification in the 3HO tradition. Her studies continued in India at the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, where she trained in classical Pranayama, Hatha Yoga, and Patanjali’s Eight Limbs under Dr. Tiwari. She is also a long‑time student of Surat Shabda Yoga, with 25+ years of advanced spiritual study that deeply informs her teaching.
Marie-Aude is the creator of the Strong & Steady Method™, a structured approach designed specifically for women 50+ to rebuild strength, balance, and mobility while cultivating inner resilience and spiritual connection.
