Urban Asanas Heart Forward Yoga Teacher Trainee, 2026
Bio
For fifteen years, Talia navigated the high-stress world of investigative journalism — a career defined by intense deadlines and the emotional weight of the stories she covered. She first stepped onto a mat in 2006, searching for a way to stay calm under pressure and process the gravity of her reporting. After two decades exploring different styles, she found her home in the steady, deliberate, and challenging pace of Hatha yoga.
Talia now teaches these practices as tools to cultivate presence and stability. Her classes are designed to help students find the strength that comes from focus and a sense of groundedness they can carry with them both on and off the mat.
When she’s not teaching, Talia is likely lost in a sci-fi epic, experimenting with a new recipe, or wandering Brooklyn with her friends.
