Valerie Lucas is a neuroscience-informed yoga teacher, educator, and curriculum designer dedicated to strengthening the foundation of modern yoga education. She integrates nervous system science into cueing, sequencing, and class design to support regulation, readiness, and sustainable capacity-building. Valerie is the author of Neuroscience-Informed Yoga Teaching and the creator of the Neuroscience-Informed Yoga Teaching™ Professional Certification, equipping teachers to align instruction with how students actually learn and integrate over time.

Over the course of her career, Valerie has designed and led national teacher training programs across more than 200 locations, mentoring educators at every stage of development. Her work bridges research and real-world teaching, translating neuroscience into practical, applicable strategies that elevate both the teacher’s presence and the student’s experience.
