In the God Field: Practices for Standing on Our Own Two Feet

In the God Field: Practices for Standing on Our Own Two Feet

Deepen how your bring your practice off the mat, into life's every moment.

Who this is for

This spiritual journey and ritual are for yoga practitioners, beginning and experienced, who seek a deep dive of personal reflection into your own practices and understandings.

Benefits

  1. Each week, we adopt the lens of a sutra written by Vidya Carolyn Dell'uomo, based on her studies with Swami Kripalu and reflections on his writings/teachings.

  2. Practice foot kriyas and interventions to enliven how our feet feel and function, supporting our asana and carrying us through life.

  3. Discuss how these 7 teachings describe a scaffolding of understanding that move us towards spiritual growth, while living fully our yoga practice, on and off the mat, "in sadhana, both formal and on the spot."

Practicing since 1989, teaching since 2001. I started practicing meditation and yoga in the mid/late 1980s as part of my recovery from a car accident which snapped my femur in half. My practice & teaching focus on cultivating awareness, growing our ability to feel and observe.

William offers a safe, non-judgmental space to do the “brave, fierce and noble work of being with your feelings and your body.” His encouraging teaching style invites you deep into self-exploration and self-agency, embodying the philosophy of “breathe and feel what you can in this moment.” As a teacher, he aims to help students be curious about their body as a gateway to wholeness, growth and embodiment. William believes that “we are all capable of living a life ‘Fully Alive’ that manifests our highest potentials – getting there will just look different for Every Body.” His classes include breathwork, asana, and developmental movement patterns to cultivate interoception, better joint movements, and a natural, meditative state...
