Study with me

My teaching centers on Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, guided by trauma-informed, nervous system–aware care. Blending yoga, Ayurveda, and mindfulness, I offer grounded practices that honor seasonal rhythm, support rest and regulation, and invite a return to embodied steadiness.

Current influences

My journey as both a yogi and a teacher has been deeply influenced by the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda, the stillness of Yin, and the restorative magic of Yoga Nidra. I draw continual inspiration from my teachers and the living lineage of yoga philosophy — especially the teachings of mindfulness, compassion, and self-inquiry — which remind me that true practice is about presence, purpose, and connection both on and off the mat.

Bio

Hi! I’m Allison, an E-RYT 500, YACEP, and RPYT yoga educator with extensive experience teaching diverse students and communities. My roots are grounded in the classical traditions of Hatha Yoga and tantric-informed philosophy, and my teaching has been shaped through ongoing study in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda, and trauma-informed approaches to practice. I completed my 500-hour training through lineage-based programs that emphasize yoga philosophy, subtle anatomy, and the energetic body, supporting a deep, integrated understanding of yoga beyond physical form.

As a continuing education provider, I lead trainings, immersions, and workshops for teachers seeking depth, sustainability, and integrity in their practice and teaching. My work focuses on Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, trauma-aware methodology, and nervous system–informed practice, helping teachers weave contemporary understanding of regulation and embodiment with the timeless wisdom of yoga. I place strong emphasis on safety, choice, and accessibility, creating learning environments that support diverse bodies, lived experiences, and nervous systems.

My teaching style bridges the classical and the contemporary, blending asana, pranayama, meditation, and reflective inquiry with modern insights from somatic awareness and mindfulness. I am also a Certified Ayurvedic Wellness Professional, Reiki Master, and Licensed Esthetician, which allows me to approach yoga education as a holistic lifestyle practice that supports digestion, daily rhythm, seasonal living, and overall wellbeing.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to honoring yoga as a living tradition—one that evolves through care, listening, and relationship. My mission is to offer education that is rooted, inclusive, and sustainable, empowering students and teachers to embody the principles of yoga with steadiness, discernment, and compassion in both practice and daily life.
