Owner of

CalmWired

Char is the founder of CalmWired, an immersive listening and sensory-awareness platform integrating sound, movement, meditation, and embodied practice. With over a decade of experience, her work supports presence, restoration, and deeper connection to self & environment.

Char’s work explores the intersection of sound, contemplative practice, movement, neuroscience, and embodied awareness through immersive sensory experiences designed for an increasingly overstimulated world. Drawing from yoga, meditation, somatics, restorative practices, and immersive sound, her approach supports deeper presence, perceptual awareness, and restorative connection through listening, rhythm, breath, and embodied practice.

With over twenty-five years of personal practice and more than a decade of teaching experience, Char’s interdisciplinary foundation is rooted in dance, biomechanics, corrective exercise, contemplative traditions, and alignment-based yoga influenced by the Ashtanga, Iyengar, Baptiste, and Desikachar lineages. She holds multiple 200-hour certifications in Hot Power Vinyasa/Hatha and Yin Yoga, a 200-hour certification from YogaWorks, a 300-hour advanced training through the Down Under School of Yoga with Natasha Rizopoulos, an 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training through Om Births, and over 170 hours of Aerial Arts Teacher Training. She has facilitated more than 6,200 hours of classes, workshops, private sessions, retreats, and teacher trainings. She's also a trained meditation teacher in the Shambhala lineage under the guidance of David Nichtern and has completed extensive studies in mindfulness, contemplative practice, Yoga Nidra, restorative yoga, neuroscience, TCTSY, and Polyvagal Theory for trauma-informed care.

As a therapeutic sound practitioner, Reiki Master Teacher, Sacred Ritualist, and Cacao Guide, Char has facilitated more than 5,500 hours of immersive sound experiences and vibrational education. Her signature Acoustic Sound Alchemy offerings weave multi-instrument resonance, contemplative listening, movement, breath, and embodied awareness into restorative sensory experiences that invite participants to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with themselves and the environments around them.
