Danielle is a relatable, authentic yoga teacher and yoga therapist experienced in Hatha Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, SomaYoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Kundalini Yoga, and the energetic practices of Ayurveda, Reiki, Thai Yoga Bodywork, Chakra Reading, Sound Baths, and Guided Meditation.

Danielle Foertsch Newman, C-IAYT, RYT 500, E-RYT 200, YACEP is a yoga therapist and teacher trained in the lineages of hatha and SomaYoga. Her focus on SomaYoga partners well with her additional expertise in adaptive yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga, chair yoga, and Yoga Nidra as well as yoga’s sister science of Ayurveda. In addition to teaching at Fresh Coast Yoga, she is available for off-site classes and welcomes the opportunity to work with new clients in either private or group settings through her small yoga therapy business Snowy Cedar Center for Wellness.

Danielle completed a 1000-hour yoga therapy training program at Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute in Duluth, MN to become a certified SomaYoga Therapist in July 2024. Danielle previously completed a 200-hour teacher training program at Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute and a 300-hour training program through My Vinyasa Practice based out of Austin, TX. In 2026, Danielle completed a 200-hour Kundalini yoga teacher training program with Yoga Farm Ithaca. Danielle’s practice and teachings incorporate all eight limbs of yoga with a focus on moving beyond asana to a more whole person experience of well-being. In addition to classic asana, she incorporates a variety of techniques in her classes including somatics, breathwork, sound healing meditation, mudras, guided relaxation, Thai yoga bodywork, and the yamas and niyamas to ensure a strong mind-body-spirit connection to consciousness. Danielle is also a certified Level 2 Reiki practitioner in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition and has competed additional training in adaptive yoga with Matthew Sanford, restorative yoga with Judith Lasater, yin yoga with Miriam Hanson, Yoga Nidra with Indu Arora, chakra reading, sound meditation with the Sound Healing Academy, shamanic journeying with Sarah Seidelmann, Vedic astrology with Robin Stamp, and yoga therapy courses with Indu Arora, Robin Rothenberg, and Gary Kraftsow among others.
